The Artisan Partners Global Equity Team (AP Global Equity Team) is one of the autonomous investment teams within Artisan Partners Asset Management Inc., a publicly listed and independent investment management firm headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with offices across North America, Europe, and Asia. The Global Equity Team applies a disciplined, research-driven investment approach that integrates fundamental analysis, macroeconomic insight, and AI-enhanced quantitative tools to uncover value and growth opportunities across global markets. Drawing on Artisan’s institutional infrastructure and collaborative culture, the team seeks to deliver clarity, consistency, and sustainable performance while bridging professional portfolio management with investor education and long-term partnership.
Mark L.Yockey, CFA, is a managing director of Artisan Partners and a portfolio manager on the Global Equity team. In this role, he is a portfolio manager for the Artisan Non-U.S. Growth and Global Equity Strategies, including Artisan International and Global Equity Funds.
Prior to joining Artisan Partners in December 1995, Mr. Yockey was the portfolio manager of the United International Growth Fund and vice president of Waddell & Reed from January 1990 through December 1995. Before assuming responsibility for the United International Growth Fund, Mr.Yockey was an analyst for Waddell &Reed from 1986 through 1989, specializing in the worldwide health care industry and international special situations. Earlier in his career, he was a health care analyst for the State of Michigan Retirement Fund for five years. Mr. Yockey holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in finance from Michigan State University. He completed one year of undergraduate work at the Universitéd'Aix-en-Provence in France. He also worked for the French bank, La Société Générale. He is fluent in French.
Charles-Henri Hamker is a managing director of Artisan Partners and a portfolio manager on the Global Equity team. In this role, he is a portfolio manager for the Artisan Global Equity Strategy, including Artisan Global Equity Fund and an associate portfolio manager for the Artisan Non-U.S.Growth Strategy, including Artisan International Fund. He also conducts research, primarily focusing on companies within the consumer discretionary and consumer staples sectors.
Prior to joining Artisan Partners in August 2000, Mr. Hamker worked on the European equities desk in the New York office of Banque Nationale de Paris. Earlier in his career, he worked in the Paris and London offices of J.P.Morgan. Mr. Hamker holds a bachelor's degree with a specialization in finance and economics from the European Business School in Paris. He is fluent in French and German.
Andrew J. Euretig is a managing director of Artisan Partners and a portfolio manager on the Global Equity team. In this role, he is a portfolio manager for the Artisan Global Equity Strategy, including Artisan Global Equity Fund, and an associate portfolio manager for the Artisan Non-U.S.Growth Strategy, including Artisan International Fund. He also conducts research, primarily focusing on companies within the industrials and utilities sectors.
Prior to joining Artisan Partners in June 2005, Mr. Euretig was a graduate student at the University of California at Berkeley. He previously served in the United States Navy as an amphibious operations officer. Mr. Euretig holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California-Berkeley.
John Spencer, CFA is a co-portfolio manager on the Artisan Partners Global Equity Team. In this role, he shares responsibility for the Artisan International Value Strategy, overseeing research and portfolio management across the U.S., emerging markets, and Asia. His investment approach blends traditional value investing with data-driven innovation, and he leads the team’s ArtiQuant™ AI-quantitative research and decision-support initiatives.
Prior to rejoining Artisan Partners in 2024, Mr. Spencer was a senior investment analyst at BlackRock (2017– 2023) covering global small- and mid-cap equities and blended value-growth strategies, particularly within the technology sector. From 2011 to 2016, he served as a portfolio manager at Matthews Asia, managing emerging-market and Asia value strategies. Earlier in his career, he was an investment analyst at Artisan Partners (2005–2010) based in Singapore, focusing on corporate valuation and Asia-Pacific comparative research. He began his career as a product manager at Oracle Corporation, designing enterprise-level financial-data and analytics systems.
Mr. Spencer holds a Master of Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University. He is a CFA charterholder and is fluent in English and Mandarin.
